It's been almost a month since our Red Wing 8-year anniversary party. And boy, did we have a blast! Fully stocked on beer, wine and tasty bites, we welcomed a bunch of colleagues, customers, as well as friends and family in our Amsterdam store. It marked 8 years since we first opened the doors of the Red Wing Shoe Store Amsterdam. In a world dominated by fast fashion, we are proud to have been able to supply all of Europe with Red Wing boots for such a long time! One of our colleagues, Niels, made an amazing photo series on our 8-year anniversary party. He took out his vintage, analog camera to capture the vibe of the party. As you can see, the weather was fantastic. We also had an amazing DJ, who happens to be a colleague of us as well. He served us some serious tunes! We added a few of these photos to this blog post. Check out Niels' Instagram as well at @ncvanos! The main highlight of our 8-year anniversary party were our 8-year anniversary T-shirts. Together with Daphne Bleeker (@daphnebleeker), we designed a one-of-a-kind design in honor of our 8-year anniversary. We produced a limited quantity of the T-shirts and gave one away with every pair of boots that we sold, instore and online. The positive reactions were overwhelming. Should we do another limited edition T-shirt in the future?! Who knows...!
