We're proud to announce the launch of the all new Oro-Legacy leather by Red Wing Shoes. The leather on the two iconic Red Wing styles, the 6" Classic Moc 875 and the 8" Classic Moc 877, has always evolved ever since its first introduction as the Irish Setter back in 1952. With the release of the Oro-Legacy leather Red Wing pays tribute to a piece of history and design from their archives. The Oro-Legacy is inspired on the leather used on the Irish Setter sport boot made by Red Wing over 30 years ago. Like all the Red Wing leathers, Oro-Legacy is developed and tanned at the S.B. Foot Tanning plant. Without any pigments added during the finishing process and with the same hardware used as back in the day, the natural character and beauty of the leather is emphasized. The technique makes that natural marks of the cattle hides, such as scars and the like will be visible. As a result it has a strong aging process, with color variation and character dependable on the circumstances it is exposed to. As of today, the new 875 Classic Moc Oro-Legacy and 877 8" Classic Moc Oro-Legacy styles can be found in our webstore. And of course you're always welcome in our actual store in Amsterdam to try them on your feet.
