Red Wing Shoes is always trying to innovate and develop new leather types and qualities. One of their latest creations is the Charcoal Rough & Tough. The color of this particular leather resembles stone coal which ironically refers to the rich history of Red Wing Shoes. Back in the days the shoes were meant for hard labor, for example coal shoveling on a locomotive.
