In the store we have at least a couple of customers a week that pick one of the old vintage pairs from the shelve with the question if their size is still available, while we mere put these worn pairs for display and decoration. We've even had bids on vintage pairs that exceeded the retail price for one in new condition. Unfortunately for these people we cherish our vintage collection a lot and don't offer any of them for sale.
Today Red Wing Shoes released a special edition of the Engineer boot with a vintage look. The 9027 - 11" Engineer 'Rugged' Driftwood is inspired by the beauty of old worn-in Engineers. Every single pair has been pre-treated by a hand-finished procedure and as an affect the Driftwood leather and the white Tred Traction sole gained a rugged look. Due to the natural qualities of the leahter, each shoe reacted differently to the treatment. As a result every single pair has its unique color and look. The shoe is produced in a limited quantity of 150 pairs.
