The Chelsea Rancher boot was especially appreciated by sheep ranchers in the United States because the shoe is both sturdy, yet still comfortable to walk a lot of miles. The elastic band allows one to not waste any time putting on their boots. 
The Chelsea Rancher by Red Wing Shoes is available in two different styles: The Red Wing Chelsea Rancher 2917 Briar Oil Slick and the Red Wing Chelsea Rancher 2918 Black Star. Both are oil-tanned leathers, that require conditioning once every three months for a long-lasting life. The elastic band of the Chelsea Rancher is of a high quality elastane, that won't stretch or wear-out. The shoes are finished with a double leather Roccia sole with rubber traction underneath.
