I notice that, lately, more and more customers in the Red Wing Shoe Store Amsterdam are asking for Nubuck/Suede Classic Moc Toe's. Maybe it has to do with the changing of the weather, maybe not. But luckily Red Wing Heritage came prepared with a broad range of leather types in the Moc Toe model. A perfect example is the Red Wing Shoes 8881 6'' Classic Moc Toe in Olive Mohave. The 8881 shoe was already part of the collection in 2010, when the doors of the Red Wing Shoe Store Amsterdam first opened, but then left for a little bit. Now, five years later, it’s back better than ever; in Olive Mohave leather. This leather is produced in Red Wing Shoes’ own S.B. Foot Tannery and is a so called ‘Roughout’ leather. This simply means that the suede is reversed, so the inside is actually on the outside. As a result the leather looks and feels extra special, but is as strong and water repellent as any other type the SB Foot Tannery produces. Fun fact, did you know that the SB Foot Tannery’s Mohave leather was invented for US Army field boots? Because of the great success, you can now find the same leather in the Red Wing Heritage collection. Pretty cool right? The Red Wing Shoes 8881 6'' Classic Moc Toe in Olive Mohave is now available in our online store. Pictures taken by Thomas Tukker.
Back and better than ever; the Red Wing Shoes 8881 6'' Classic Moc Toe in Olive Mohave!
