The last couple of months we have introduced several new Red Wing releases to you. Among them were the new Merchant, the western Pecos boot and an entire women’s collection. But today it's time for one of the best releases of the year, a new Red Wing Shoe Store Exclusive! We would like to introduce to you: the 2942 Roughneck Moc Toe in Copper Rough & Tough with a Vibram Lug sole. The Roughneck design got its remarkable name from oilrig workers in America’s 20th century. These tough and hardworking men had one of the most dangerous occupations in the country. To maintain their cool during very risky conditions, these guys needed to have an urge for the exciting. That’s how they deserved the name ‘Roughnecks’. Inspired by these tough guys, the 2942 was built not only to look tough, but also act tough. To construct this rough boot Red Wing took one of their best selling designs, the Classic Moc Toe, and manufactured it on a Vibram Lug sole for extra grip on wet and oily surfaces. The 2942 comes in Copper Rough & Tough leather with nickel eyelets and speed hooks. Since the 2942 Roughneck Moc Toe in Copper Rough & Tough is a Red Wing Shoe Store Exclusive, it’s only available in limited numbers. Visit our Amsterdam shop or online store to get your hands on a pair before winter hits your town.
